The Spring Registration will begin on December 1, 2011 and run through February 28, 2012. If you have any questions please contact us at info@noblesvillesoftball.com.
Q: When does our season start?
A: Opening day for the 2012 recreational league is Saturday April 18th. The season concludes the week of June 18th with our annual in-house tournament for divisions 8U and up. There will be a final, single game that week for the Tball and 6/7 divisions. All games are played on the Noblesville High School diamonds.
Q: What is the time commitment?
A: Time commitment varies by division. Practices for Tball and 6/7 divisions are one weekly pratice with a single game on Saturdays. Higher divisions will practice typically twice a week with games during the week and on Saturdays. Once the seasons begin, practices will diminsh depending on field availability.
Q: What night will practice be for my team?
A: Practice nights are chosen by coaches during the annual coaches meeting. This information is provided to players and parents during the Meet and Greet nights, March 26th and 27th.
Q: When will practices begin?
A: Practices will begin the week before spring break and continue thru opening day. There may be voluntary practices during spring break if you and the coaches are available. We understand many people are out of town but for those that are not there may be some optional practices.
Q: How do I register?
A: Registrations are available online at the NGSA website utilizing paypal and a credit card. Just go to the main page and follow the link. Paper registrations are also available which can be completed and mailed back to NGSA at the address on the form.
Q: Does my daughter have to attend an evaluation?
A: Evaluations are required for divisions 10U and up. The purpose of evaluations are to systematically grade each player so that team selection is fair and unbiased.
Q: What is the fund raiser "opt out"?
A: Many sports leagues are adopting a fundraising "opt out" option and NGSA is following this trend. With so many different fundraisers constantly being asked of us, sometimes the time and effort commitment is hard to achieve. This year you can pay the fundraising "opt out" fee ahead of time and not have the burden of attempting to fundraise.
Q: Where does my registration fees and fundraising fees go?
A: Operating a youth sports league is a costly endeavor that many may not realize? Our costs include equipment such as bats, helments, balls etc, field maintenance supplies, umpire pay, uniforms, trophies, insurance, utilities, trash and other operating expenses.
