SPRING 2025 REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!
NGSA provides softball programs for girls age 4 through 18. The in-house rec league is open to any girl between the ages of 4 and 18 who resides in Hamilton County and surrounding counties.
Important Dates:
- Coaches Meeting: 3/15/2025 (East Middle School LGI Room) 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Team Meet & Greet + Gear Swap: 3/24/2025 (East Middle School Cafeteria
- Opening Night Ceremonies: 4/25/2025 (Promise Road Elementary Softball Field)
- Opening Day: 4/26/2025
- Picture Day: 5/3/2025
- Tournament: 10U + 12U County Wide Tournament the week of June 9th. Games will be through the week.
- Last Regular Season Saturday Games: 6/14/2025
Additional Information:
- 6U will be held on Saturday mornings
- 8U - In-House Tournament details to be decided.
- Team shirts will be provided to all players.
- Most games will take place at one of the four elementary fields (North, Hinkle Creek, Stony Creek and Promise Road).
- There may be some travel required within Hamilton County when playing against surrounding community teams. These games are typically played through the week.
- Any time we play at other locations the rules may vary slightly. We'll do our best to keep everyone informed and up to date.
REC COSTS:
6U & 8U players - $100
10U & Up players - $175
** Age division is determined by the player's age as of January 1, 2025.
6U: This is an instructional league that teaches the girls the fundamentals of softball utilizing both coach’s pitch and a tee. Teams consist of 6-8 players to allow for more one-on-one instruction. Players have the option to hit off coach pitch or T with the goal to have all girls hit off coach by end of season. Players in the league must turn 4 by January 1st to be eligible to play.
8U: This league will usually place 9-11 players on each team. The goal of the league is to give each girl as much playing time and quality instruction as possible while introducing the girls to pitching at this level. Combination of coach and player pitch with pitching distance at 30 feet. A double elimination tournament will take place at the end of the season.
10U: This league will usually place 9-12 players on each team. This league's goal is to gain additional experience in softball while fine-tuning the skills gained from previous years. Pitching distance is 35 feet. A double elimination tournament will take place at the end of the season.
12U: This league takes part in the county leagues. This league does require travel. Pitching distance is 40 feet and the league follows the rules of the County leagues league. A double elimination tournament will take place at the end of the season.
14U+: This league will consist of 14U/16U/18U players for the 2025 spring season. This league takes part in a league playing surrounding city teams. This league does require travel. The pitching distance is 43 feet, and the league follows the rules of the USSSA.
